UPDATE ON STUMP LAKE

The LSPOA Board of Directors hired a diving company to attempt to repair the Stump Lake valve without lowering the Stump Lake. This was attempted a week ago, and while they were not able to make the repair at that time, they were able to remove debris consisting of brick and other material (no logs or limbs) that had become lodged in the gate track. During that dive, the valve seal was assessed, and it was determined that we will have to lift the gate and repair the area of seal that is damaged. The good news is we know we can do this without lowering the lake all the way down. The divers will be out of town for the next three to four weeks, which will give us time to gather material and resources so we can do the repair as soon as they get back. This also means we will be opening the Ski Lake valve to drop it for regular maintenance in the next day or two, so be prepared for that, and if you need to take your boat out, it would be the time to do that.
